Vice President Naidu emphasizes need to educate young people about Indian culture and traditions

New Delhi [India], October 18 (ANI): Vice President Mr. Venkaiah Naidu called on young people to realize the ancient tradition and culture of India and to uphold the national value of “unity in diversity”.

Naidu, speaking at an ‘Alai Balai’ cultural event in Hyderabad in Telangana on Sunday, said India‘s pluralistic culture has the power to unite people, going beyond various social divisions in the society.

On this occasion, the vice-president recalled the legacy of the freedom fighter Bal Gangadhar Tilak who initiated the celebrations of Ganesh Chaturthi to unite the people during the Swaraj movement.

He called for honoring the legacy of our great leaders and drawing inspiration from their lives to protect India’s pluralistic culture.

Governor of Haryana Bandaru Dattatreya, Governor of Himachal Pradesh Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, Union Minister of Tourism and Culture G Kishan Reddy, Interior Minister of Telangana Mohammed Mahmood Ali, film actors Pawan Kalyan and Manchu Vishnu, Managing Director of Dr. Reddy Labs GV Prasad, President and Managing Director of Bharat Biotech Krishna Ella, President and Founder of Asian Institute of Gastroenterology Dr. Nageshwar Reddy and others were present on the occasion.
